Palm's Plumbing & Rooter ("we," "us") operates palmsplumbingpro.com. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Form submissions. When you request service, we collect your name, email, phone number, ZIP or city, and any notes you choose to share.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard request information such as IP address and user agent for security and abuse prevention. When you send the form, we save your browser's user agent and a scrambled, one-way code made from your IP address with the request. We use that code to limit how many requests one address can send in an hour. We do not save the IP address itself with new requests. Older requests may still include the IP address.
- Necessary cookies. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) sets cookies needed to run the site and protect against bots and abuse (for example, _cf_bm). These are always on because the site does not work without them.
- Advertising and measurement cookies (with your consent). We use Google Ads conversion tracking and Google Tag Manager to understand which ads bring people to this site, to measure calls and quote requests that come from those ads, and to show relevant ads to people who have visited the site. When you accept the cookie notice, Google may set cookies (for example, _gcl_au and Google Ads cookies) and receive information such as your IP address, the pages you view, your device and browser type, and actions like submitting the quote form or tapping a phone number. These Google tags are not loaded at all until you accept. If you decline, or if your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, they stay off and only necessary cookies remain. You can also opt out of personalized ads at Google Ads Settings or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Embedded social content. Our home page displays videos embedded from Instagram. The videos load only after you accept the cookie notice or press "Play video" on a video. When they load, Instagram (Meta) may set its own cookies and receive standard request information such as your IP address, under Instagram's own privacy policy. To avoid this, you can view the videos directly on our Instagram and TikTok profiles instead.
- Embedded maps. Our home page shows two service-area maps from Google Maps. The maps load only after you accept the cookie notice or press "Show map". When they load, Google may set its own cookies and receive standard request information such as your IP address, under Google's privacy policy.
- Consent record. When you accept or decline the cookie notice, we store your choice in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again. We ask again whenever this notice changes. To change your choice later, use the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page. If you switch from accept to decline, the page reloads without the Google and Instagram content.
How we use it
- To respond to your service request by phone, text, or email.
- To schedule, perform, and follow up on plumbing services.
- To send occasional service-related messages. We do not send marketing without consent.
How we share it
We do not sell your information. We share it only with our service providers (such as our hosting and email vendors) to operate the website and contact you. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
If you accept advertising cookies, Google receives the browsing and device information described above for ad measurement and targeted advertising. California law may treat this as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We never share the name, email, phone number, or notes you enter in the quote form with Google for advertising.
Retention
Lead records, including the user agent and the IP code described above, are kept until we delete them. We do not delete them automatically on a schedule. You may request deletion at any time.
Your choices and rights
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we hold about you, the right to request deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You also have the right to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out, choose "Decline non-essential" on the cookie notice (you can reopen it with the "Cookie settings" link), or turn on the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser. To make any other request, contact us using the details below.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
